This Privacy Policy describes how AvoidTilt ("AvoidTilt," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit avoidtilt.com (the "Site") or join our pre-launch waitlist. By using the Site or submitting your information, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
AvoidTilt is an independent software company building software that helps traders enforce their own discipline rules on supported trading platforms. We are pre-launch and currently operate only this marketing site and our pre-launch waitlist.
2. Information we collect
We collect a small amount of information directly from you and a smaller amount automatically when you visit the Site.
Information you give us
- Email address — submitted through the waitlist form.
- Platform preference — which trading platform you primarily use, if you select one in the waitlist form (Tradovate / NinjaTrader, Rithmic, ProjectX, or TradingView).
- Anything else you send us — for example, if you email hello@avoidtilt.com or message us on Discord.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider (IP address, user agent, referrer, request time) used to operate and secure the Site.
- Aggregate, anonymous analytics about page visits — we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
3. How we use your information
- To notify you when AvoidTilt launches and to deliver the early-access discount promised at signup.
- To send pre-launch updates about build progress, the rule library, and product news.
- To understand which trading platforms our prospective users care about, so we can prioritize support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To respond to messages you send us.
4. How we share your information
We share information with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers we depend on to run the Site and waitlist. This includes our static hosting provider, our form/email-delivery provider (currently Web3Forms), and any future email-marketing platform we use to send launch announcements. These providers process information only on our behalf.
- Business partners. AvoidTilt may share waitlist email addresses (and, where applicable, your platform preference) with current and future business partners — including but not limited to trading platforms, prop firms, brokers, payment processors, and affiliated software companies — for purposes such as joint launch promotions, integrations, co-marketing, partner offers, audience matching, and product collaboration. By submitting your email, you expressly consent to this sharing. Partners receiving your email may contact you about their own products and services.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AvoidTilt, our users, or others.
- In connection with a business transfer. If we are acquired, merge with another company, or sell substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for cash consideration. Sharing with business partners as described above is not a sale; it is a disclosure for the partnership and marketing purposes you agreed to when signing up.
5. Your choices
- Unsubscribe. Every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails from us.
- Delete your information. Email hello@avoidtilt.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your record from our waitlist within a reasonable period.
- Access & correction. You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing the same address.
Note that unsubscribing from our emails or deleting your record from our list does not automatically pull your email back from business partners we may have already shared it with. To stop receiving emails from a partner, use that partner's own unsubscribe mechanism.
6. Data retention
We keep your waitlist information until you ask us to delete it, until we determine the waitlist is no longer needed (for example, after launch and the early-access discount has been redeemed), or as long as we have a legitimate business reason to retain it. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained for a shorter period determined by our hosting provider.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
8. International users
AvoidTilt is operated from the United States. If you submit information from outside the U.S., you understand and consent to the transfer of that information to the U.S. and to processing in any jurisdiction where AvoidTilt or its service providers operate.
9. Children
The Site and the AvoidTilt product are intended for adults engaged in trading. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact hello@avoidtilt.com and we will delete it.
10. Cookies
The Site uses minimal cookies, limited to what is required for basic functionality and security. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to current waitlist subscribers where reasonable.
